The University of Hull has almost 17,000 students – which is no small portion of the population. As a well-ranked university with a joint medical school with the University of York, it attracts a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate students. With so many students residing in the city, Hull has certain amenities catered to students.
Outdoor Spaces
Hull isn’t short of green spaces for residents to get fresh air and exercise. Several parks and sports fields are dotted across the city and Hull has a large waterfront along the Humber Estuary. If getting outdoors is essential to your student experience, you’ll find it in Hull.

Beyond the City
Outside of Hull, the region also offers interesting sights to see. You could take a short trip to the charming town of Beverley, cross the Humber Bridge to see the neighbouring town of Barton-upon-Humber, or take a stroll in the Humber Bridge Country Park on the outskirts of Hull.
Hull Universities
The University of Hull is a public research university with a wide range of programs spanning the Faculties of Science and Engineering, Arts, Culture and Education, Health Sciences, and Business, Law and Politics. The university is a north-central residential district of Hull on Cottingham Road.
